This massage is intended to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. This massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
The deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. This massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as the relaxation massage, but the pressure is deeper. It is incredibly beneficial for those who suffer from chronic muscle tension in areas such as the neck, shoulders, and lower back.
Cupping uses suction to soften adhesion(s), relieve pain, open up connective tissues, stimulate blood flow, and induce relaxation by releasing the lymphatic system and toxins in impacted areas. Enjoy on its own or add it on to one of our other massages!
To understand & address a person’s pain or discomfort, we must look at the body’s tension holding patterns & address them in ways that other therapies won’t. Each 90-minute session is customized for the client’s specific needs, and may involve a variety of specialized techniques.
Similar to a deep tissue massage, the masseuse applies a heavier pressure using their (freshly manicured, exfoliated, & sanitized) feet! Structurally secured overhead bars are used for stability, and the more even, broad strokes administered from above create a deeply satisfying & relaxing massage, all while diminishing the pain often associated with heavier pressure.
